When you're
down,
when you're on the street,
When evening falls so hard,
I will come for you,
I'll take your heart.
When darkness comes
and pain is all around
Like a bridge over
troubled waters
I'll be there to lay
me down
When you're weary, feel small
When tears are in your eyes,
I will, I will dry them off.
I'm on your side when times get
rough.
I will lay me down
just like a bridge over
troubled water s
I'll be there to lay
Yes, I will, I'll be your bridge
When you're out of your truck
Bridge over the water
Let me be your bridge
Better be
See child, I'll walk with you
Bridge over
And I'll talk with you
I'll hold your hand
when everybody else needs it
I'll be your bridge, I'll be your bridge
Let me be your bridge
Better be
If you don't know which way to go
Bridge over water
Every time you get a little lonely
I'll be your bridge
It makes my mind run back
to the time in the world
when this little man had laid
by the pool of shalom
all of his life. He couldn't walk.
And you know every once in a while
the water would get trouble.
God would send an angel down
to trouble the waters.
And whatever disease you had,
whatever infirmity you had,
all you had to do was step in the water.
And when the water got troubled,
everything would be alright.
The pain would go.
And this little man was laying there
for 38 long years.
And you see he didn't have friends
and he didn't have family.
And so when the water got troubled,
he would try to pull his way to the water.
And one day Jesus showed up .
And he said, what you doing?
He said, every time the water gets troubled,
I don't have nobody to put
me in the pool.
Jesus touched him
and said, rise up and walk.
You don't need nobody.
All you need is me, my Lord.
Yeah, see, I'll be your bridge.
Oh yes, I will.
I'll be your water.
Uh -huh.
And you know, the little woman at the well,
he met this little woman,
and she had already had six husbands,
but she was about to meet the seventh.
And he said, what you doing?
She said, I'm drawing water.
He said, put your bucket down,
because if you drink of this water,
you'll never have to thirst again.
Let me tell you something,
he'll be rich,
he'll be your water,
he'll give you a drink
when everybody else leave you,
he'll be your friend, oh yes he will,
he'll walk with you,
He'll talk with the youth,
he'll dry the tears from your eyes.
Let me be your bridge,
let me be your bridge.
